Train Trip, Lake Berryessa & Upcoming Events

The next meeting will be on 4/17 at the church. The Hawks will do the flags, the skills instruction will discuss Cordon Blue & check patrol boxes, and patrol corners discuss Camporee planning.

Old Town Sacramento Train Trip

When: Sat., Apr. 14:
Where: Sacramento (map).
Details: The troop will take the Amtrak train to Sacramento. We will visit the Capital building, the Old Town, and tour the Train Museum. Please see troop emails for details.

Lake Berryessa Service Project

When: Sat., Apr. 15: Please be at the church at 7:15am.
Where: Lake Berryessa.
Details: Earn service hour credits and work on requirements for the orienteering merit badge. Please see troop emails for details.

Upcoming Events (Calendar)

  • Apr. 14: Sacramento Train Trip: The troop will take the Amtrak train to Sacramento. We will visit the Capital building, the Old Town, and tour the Train Museum.
  • Apr. 15: Lake Berryessa Service Project (map). Earn service hours by doing service for Lake Berryessa. This is also when the Camporee orienteering course is set up.
  • Apr. 20-22: Camporee. A big competition of scout skills among local troops. The more people that go, the easier it is to get Presidential, or the highest rank overall. If you still wish to go please email by Saturday with a picture of a filled out permission slip.
  • May 5-6: Dillon Beach.
  • May 12: Bouldering at Ironworks. You can go climbing as well as work on a merit badge.
  • May 19: 442nd Service. We will be doing the flag ceremony for this memorial service. The service is for the 442nd regiment which served in WWII. Lunch will be served afterwards.
  • May 26-28: Memorial Day Backpacking. This will be the rarer opportunity to go backpacking for 3 days and 2 nights.

  • Please use your son’s scout account as the primary means of payment. See here for more details (link).
  • Thanks to all parents who legibly write their scout’s name and purpose of payment on the memo. line of the check! It would also help if you write the amount clearly. If you absolutely must pay with cash, please attach a note with the scout’s name and purpose of payment.
