  • May 19: 442nd Service. We will be doing the flag ceremony for this memorial service. The service is for the 442nd regiment which served in WWII. Lunch will be served afterwards. At least 5 experienced scouts are needed to help with the flag ceremony. We will meet at Roberts Regional Recreational Area.
  • May 20: Annual Planning Conference. If you want to have a say in what activities we do next year, come to this event with ideas of where to go.
  • May 26-28: Memorial Day Backpacking. This will be one of the rarer opportunity to go backpacking for 3 days and 2 nights. Attendees should have some backpacking experience. This will be in Big Basin in the Santa Cruz mountains. Permission slip attached and due two weeks before the outing.
  • Jun. 2: Fages II – This will be the only 20 mile hike of the year. We will hike around the Tilden area. Lunch will be provided. This hike is required for Philmont and required if you plan on doing the hiking merit badge.

Notes

  • Please use your son’s scout account as the primary means of payment. See here for more details (link).
  • Thanks to all parents who legibly write their scout’s name and purpose of payment on the memo. line of the check! It would also help if you write the amount clearly. If you absolutely must pay with cash, please attach a note with the scout’s name and purpose of payment. We much prefer either checks or PayPal as it is much simpler to track for everybody.
