Time to get your medical forms in! Going forward, permission slips will be due at least two weeks in advance.

Camporee Practice

When: Sat., Mar. 19-Sun., Mar. 20. Meet at 9am at the church.
Where: The Practice will be at Brannan Island Recreational Park.
Details: Practice scout skills prior to the Herms Camporee in April. See calendar entry for more details.

Upcoming Events (Calendar)

  • Mar. 19, 2016:: Help out at the Pack 30 Pinewood Derby at Camp Herms from 2-5pm.
  • Mar. 24, 2016:: Holy Thursday driveway lighting. An opportunity to give back to the church who let use use their hall for our troop meetings.  Arrive by 6:50pm, wear full Class A uniform and bring a working flashlight.
  • Apr. 1-2, 2016: Angel Island Backpack. Backpack on Angel Island, a former immigration center, and camp with stunning views of all the Bay Area. Limited to 6 scouts, so turn in your permission slips quickly!
  • Apr. 9, 2016: Camporee Service. Are you in need of service hours or just want to be a helpful scout? Then, sign up for the Camporee Service Project.
  • Apr. 15-17, 2016: Herms Camporee.  Go to Lake Berryessa to learn scout skills and to compete against other troops. We are hoping to get lots of participation.
  • Apr. 23, 2016: Hike at Armstrong Redwoods.
  • Apr. 30-May 1, 2016: Overnight camping at Sunset Beach and kayaking at Elkhorn Slough! Join the troop for this fun event with guides for kayaking Elkhorn Slough in Monterey County. The cost will be the usual $10 for overnight camping and $20 for the kayaking. Scouts who want to attend need to pass a swim test, and also attend 1 outing and 1 campout with the troop!

  • Rank requirements have changed, see here for more details.
  • For those who have paid the Wolfeboro deposit, the remaining $280/week is due by Apr. 5, 2016. Remember to get part C of your medical form signed by your doctor. Depending on your doctor, this could take a week or more, so please plan ahead.
  • Medical forms: Scouts & adult leaders, if you have a medical appointment, have your doctor fill out Part C of the medical form. Part C is needed for any event over 72 hours (such as Wolfeboro).
  • The Seabase crew is collecting recyclables to raise funds for their trip. Please bring any recyclables to scout meetings to help them reach their goal!
  • Thanks to all parents who write their scout’s name and purpose of payment on the memo. line of the check! At present, checks are the preferred means of payment, but we take cash or Paypal ☺.
  • You can check your scout account at the Troop meetings.
