About Us

Troop 24 Berkeley Celebrates Over a Century of Commitment

Troop 24 not only marks an impressive milestone of more than 100 years but also embodies a rich tradition of youth service. It proudly stands as a “boy run” troop, a troop emphasizing the leadership and decision-making roles played by the boys themselves. This approach is supported by a dedicated group of adult advisers who provide guidance, while maintaining a backseat approach to room for growth through mistakes.

This partnership between youth leadership and adult guidance has enabled Troop 24 Berkeley to cultivate a nurturing yet challenging atmosphere for its members, helping them to grow into responsible and community-minded individuals. As they look to the future, they continue to embrace the principles that have sustained them for over a century, aiming to inspire and educate new generations of leaders in Berkeley.
