The next meeting will be on 1/30 at the church. The Falcons will perform the flag ceremony. The skills instruction will be about first aid including stretcher & sling making, and patrol corners will discuss National Honor Patrol review and new rank requirements.

If you are in the Order of the Arrow, we are looking for Order of the Arrow Representatives. Please let SM Dave know if you are interested

LEAD Training

When: Sat., Jan. 27: 8am-5pm
Where: Diablo Valley College (map).
Details: Please contact Roy Adam by 1/24 if you wish to register for this. Den Chief training for scouts the age of 13 and higher and first class will be offered as well as CPR certification for scouts 14 and up. The price is $20 for scouts, $45 for adults.

Upcoming Events (Calendar)

  • Feb. 4: Scout Sunday. Celebrate the anniversary of the founding of Boy Scouts by attending a church service in Class A uniform. Saint Mary Magdalene Church is our charter organization, so please consider attending service there if feasible.
  • Feb. 16-19: Family Ski Trip. This is a family friendly event. Location and length are to be decided.
  • Feb. 24-25: Brannan Island (map) camping & biking. This is a good opportunity to go biking with our troop.

  • Note: Permission slips are attached to troop calendar events. If no check/cash is required, a scan of the permission slip can be emailed to permissionslip@troop24berkeley.org
  • Please use your son’s scout account as the primary means of payment. See here for more details (link).
  • Thanks to all parents who legibly write their scout’s name and purpose of payment on the memo. line of the check! It would also help if you write the amount clearly. If you absolutely must pay with cash, please attach a note with the scout’s name and purpose of payment.
