At the upcoming (10/24) meeting the skills instruction will be a drug and alcohol awareness presentation. During Patrol Corners we will staple bags to door hangers in preparation for the scouting for food drop-off.
Jamboree on the Air (JOTA)
When: Sat., Oct. 21:
Where: The San Ramon Marriott Hotel (map).
Details:You can talk to scouts from all around the world that day at Jamboree on the Air. Radio and electricity merit badges will be offered there.
Stemoree

Details: Merit badge opportunities relating to STEM will be offered.
JOTA Security
When: Sat., Oct. 21-Sun., Oct. 22:
Where: .The San Ramon Marriott Hotel (map).
Details: You can spend the night in the hotel conference room providing security services for all of the radio equipment. Bring a sleeping bag & pad.
Upcoming Events (Calendar)
- Oct. 28-29: Backpacking at Portola Redwoods (map).
- Oct. 28-29: Webeloree Service & Camping (rescheduled) at Camp Herms (map). Scouts are needed to help instruct and help prepare food. Good opportunity for recruiting.

Nov. 4: REI trail service. A trail service project sponsored by REI and catered by Chipotle. If you go, you get a T-shirt and entered into a raffle for items such as backpacks or shirts.

Nov. 4 (Possibly the 5th) : Scouting for food drop-off: Put bags on doorsteps of houses in the neighborhood to collect food donations. Starts at 10am.

Nov. 11: Veterans Day flag planting: Go to Sunset Cemetery and plant flags at the graves of fallen soldiers. Starts at 7:45am. There will be donuts.
- Nov. 11: Scouting for food pick-up: Collect the bags from the previous weekend. Starts at 9:30am after the flag planting.
