The next meeting will be on 1/23 at the church. The Hawks will perform the flag ceremony. The skills instruction will be about reverence and the patrol corners will discuss rank advancement.

Time to start thinking about Wolfeboro!

Golden Gate Urban Hike

When: Sat., Jan. 21: Meet at the church at 7:30am sharp.
Where: Golden Gate Bridge.
Details: Bring a pack lunch. Philmont folks should have a full backpack.

Upcoming Events (Calendar)

  • Jan.  27: LEAD – This is mainly a training opportunity for adult leaders. Den Chief training for scouts the age of 13 and higher and first class will be offered as well as CPR certification for scouts 14 and up. The price is $20 for scouts, $45 for adults. Contact SM Dave for more information and if you want to sign up.
  • Jan. 28: Soup Kitchen Service Project. There is limited space and it will take place at the church. If you are interested please email Gabriel H. to sign up or come to the next meeting and he will have a sign up sheet available.
  • Feb. 4: Scout Sunday. Celebrate the anniversary of the founding of Boy Scouts by attending a church service in Class A uniform. Saint Mary Magdalene Church is our charter organization, so please consider attending service there if feasible.
  • Feb. 16-19: Family Ski Trip. This is a family friendly event. Location and length are to be decided.
  • Feb. 24-25: Brannan Island (map) camping & biking. This is a good opportunity to go biking with our troop.

  • Note: Permission slips are attached to troop calendar events. If no check/cash is required, a scan of the permission slip can be emailed to permissionslip@troop24berkeley.org
  • Please use your son’s scout account as the primary means of payment. See here for more details (link).
  • Thanks to all parents who legibly write their scout’s name and purpose of payment on the memo. line of the check! It would also help if you write the amount clearly. If you absolutely must pay with cash, please attach a note with the scout’s name and purpose of payment.
