Permission Slips

All events, hikes, campouts etc require a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian.

The permission slip enables you to:

  • Grant your permission
  • Indicate transportation details: i.e. if you are coming on the trip, or if you can drive one/both directions, how many scouts you can take in your car. Remember, trips cannot happen without drivers.
  • Indicate payment details: that is, how you want to pay for the trip: You can pay by cash/check or check the ‘Scout Account’ box (this is now the default). This means that the cost of the trip (usually only a few dollars) will be taken out of your scout’s ‘Scout Account’. These accounts are maintained by the treasurer. Please make checks payable to “B.S.A Troop 24”

Please get your scout to turn the permission slip in to their patrol leader. They will give it to the Troop Scribe. He enters the information into a Google spreadsheet so the organizers can plan drivers and the treasurer can keep track of payments.

They are available:

  • at Troop meetings (paper copies)
  • attached to each event in the online calendar
