Wreath sales are here. Every scout is expected to sell 10 or more wreaths. Important: If you collect a box of wreaths, make sure you email ASM Whalen & update the sign out sheet with the number of the box that you took.
Next meeting 11/14: Skills instruction will be salesmanship – how to sell a wreath with ASMs Adam & Nakamura. The Puddle Ducks will do the flags and we will work on NHP and picking which merit badges the patrol needs in patrol corners.
Veterans Day Flag Planting
When: Sat., Nov. 11: Meet at the cemetery at 7:45am.
Where: Meet at Sunset Cemetery (map).
Details: Plant flags at the graves of fallen soldiers. There will be donuts. Bring a big screwdriver to make holes for the flags.
Scouting for Food Pick-Up
When: Sat., Nov. 11: Meet after flag planting at about 10:30am.
Where: The church.
Details: Scouting for food pick-up: Collect the bags that we distributed previously.
Upcoming Events (Calendar).
- Nov. 17-19: Camp Berryessa Camping. You can stay in cabins or in your own tent. You can swim if you have completed the BSA swim test in the last year.

Nov. 24: Day After Thanksgiving Hike. This is a family friendly hike offering a 5 or 10 mile option. The 10 miler is required for Philmont bound scouts.
- Dec. 2:Fages. This is a 10 mile hike around Tilden.
- Dec. 3: Orienteering at Las Trampas (map) with the BAOC.

- Note: Permission slips are attached to troop calendar events. If no check/cash is required, a scan of the permission slip can be emailed to permissionslip@troop24berkeley.org
- Please, pretty please use your son’s scout account as the primary means of payment. See here for more details (link).
- Thanks to all parents who legibly write their scout’s name and purpose of payment on the memo. line of the check! It would also help if you write the amount clearly. If you absolutely must pay with cash, please attach a note with the scout’s name and purpose of payment.
